George D. Shuman
Having served twenty years on the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police force, George D. Shuman packs his novels with realistic details. His first novel, 18 Seconds, has been nominated for the Best First Novel by the International Thrillers Association and The Shamus Award. His blind protagonist, Sherry Moore, has the unique ability to "see" the dead person's final eighteen seconds of life. She is a consultant to the local police force. Shuman was born in Pennsylvania and since his retirement, lives in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania where he writes full time. He has two children.
