Emily Brightwell

Emily Brightwell is the pseudonym of Cheryl Arguille. She was born in West Virginia and moved with her family to California where she graduated from California State University with a degree in American Studies. She met her husband Richard on a visit to England. They moved to California two years after their marriage and reside in Orange County.
Brightwell began her career writing romances, but she much prefers the mystery genre. With the research and help of her brother-in-law Robert, she has created the very popular Mrs. Jeffries series of Victorian mystery novels. Mrs. Jeffries is Scotland Yard Inspector Witherspoon's housekeeper who uncovers secrets that help Inspector Witherspoon solve his cases.
