Tamar Myers

    Tamar Myers is the author of two very successful mystery series. One, known as the Pensylvania Dutch Mysteries with Recipes, is set in the fictitious Amish community of Hernia, Pennsylvania, and features amateur sleuth Magdalena Yoder who runs a bed and breakfast. The other series, known as the Den of Antiquity Series, is set in the Carolinas and centers around the adventures of Abigail Timberlake, the owner of an antique store.
   Tamar Myers, whose parents were missionaries there, was born in the Belgian Congo and had an unusual childhood living among the headhunters there. Tamar came to America at age sixteen when her parents fled the civil wars in The Congo. She met her husband in high school. They practice the Jewish faith and live with various animals in Charlotte, North Carolina.
