Cleo Coyle
Cleo Coyle is the joint pen name of the husband-wife writing team of Alice Alfonsi and Mark Cerasini. They write a series of mystery novels set in a New York coffeehouse, Village Blend. Clare Cosi, the manager of Village Blend, finds herself involved in various murders and attracted to NYPD Detective Mike Quinn. She is able to notice details that help Quinn nab the killers. The Alfonsi/Cerasini write a shorter series called The Haunted Bookshop Mysteries under the pseudonym Alice Kimberly. Penelope Thornton-McClure, the bookshop owner, talks to ghosts who help her with her sleuthing. Alfonsi and Cerasini were originally from Pittsburgh but met in New York City. They do much of their writing in coffeehouses -- which led to the Coffee House Mysteries series.
