About the Author:

Monica Ferris

Monica Ferris is one of the many pseudonyms, and the most successful one, of Mary Monica Parker. She has written many short stories and collaborated with her husband as Al and Mary Kuhfeld on other novels, but her Needlecraft Mysteries have been made her a popular writer in the "Cozy" genre. When her agent was looking for someone to write a mystery series about a middle-aged amateur sleuth who lived in a small town and did needlework, Ferris thought it would be fairly easy for her since family members did various needlecrafts. She has since learned a great deal about needlework while writing her mysteries. She created Betsy Berglund and set her in Excelsior, which is a real city in Minnesota.
