Jane Haddam

  Jane Haddam is best known for her mystery series of books featuring former FBI agent Gregor Demarkian.  The 24th Gregor Demarkian mystery novel, Cheating at Solitaire, was published in April, 2008.
   Haddam also wrote an earlier mystery series under her real name, Orania Papazoglou, featuring Patience McKenna, a romance novelist turned true crime writer. She wrote two novels using the pseudonym of Ann Paris: Graven Image and Arrowheart.    She taught on the college level until turning to novel writing. She has also written many treatises on politics, humanism, and feminism and continues to write for many magazines.
   She was born in Bethel Connecticut, and currently lives in Watertown,  She was married to mystery writer William L. DeAndrea, who died in 1996. Her oldest son, Matt DeAndrea is also a writer.
