Baby Doll Games
About the Author:

Margaret Maron
Margaret Maron was born on a farm near Raleigh, North Carolina, and lives there with her family now. Following her naval-officer, now artist, husband wherever he was stationed, she has lived in New York and Italy. Her interest in the arts and museums of New York serve as background for her Sigrid Harald series of detective novels. Lt. Sigfrid Harald is introduced in Maron's first novel, One Coffee With, published in 1982. In addition to One Coffe With, there are four other novels still in print in this series: The Right Jack, Baby Doll Games, Corpus Christmas, and Fugitive Colors. Deborah Knott and her ever-increasing number of North Carolina family members is a district court judge. She was introduced in Bootlegger's Daughter in 1992. That book won the Edgar, Agatha and Macavity Awards as well as the hearts of mystery readers everywhere. This series has less-sophisticated characters and situations which are stereo-typically Southern making the series warmer and funnier than the Sigfrid Harald books.
