The Forgotten Man
About the Author:

Robert Crais
Robert Crais began his career writing scripts for television shows such as Quincy, Hill Street Blues, and L. A. Law, among others. His first successful detective novel, The Monkey's Raincoat, featured the quirky Elvis Cole and his conscienceless pal Joe Pike. He won the Macavity and Anthony Awards for that novel. Realizing Cole and Pike could be characters for serial novels, he went on to write ten more Elvis Cole detective novels. Crais introduced LAPD Bomb Technician Carol Starkey in the stand-alone novel, Demolition Angel, and she now appears off and on in the Elvis Cole Series. Another novle, Hostage, has been made into a major movie starring Bruce Willis in 2005. Crais was born into a blue collar family in Louisiana. He now lives with his wife and "thousands of books" in the Santa Monica Mountains of California.
