About the Author:

John Sandford
John Sandford was a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist before he turned to writing crime stories. When his first two novels were going to be published three months apart, John was asked to use a pseudonym for Rules of Prey and he chose John Sandford. The Fool's Run was then published using his given name John Camp. Since then the sequels and reprints have all been published under "Sandford". Sandford lives in Minneapolis, the setting for his Prey crime thrillers. The "Prey" series features Lucas Davenport, a member of the Minnesota Department of Special Intelligence where he worked in conjunction with police departments to solve unusual, often eerie, bloody crimes. In the latest book, Invisible Prey, Davenport is a Minnesota State Bureau of Apprehension investigator trying to solve the murders of elderly rich people His other series, "Kidd", not quite as successful as the "Prey" series, featured the artist/computer whiz/professional criminal Kidd. The first two books in this series, Fool's Run and The Empress File, have been reissued under the Sandford name. The other two books in this series are The Devil's Code and The Hanged Man's Song.
