Jessie Arnold

   Sue Henry's Alaskan dog sled racer and sled dog breeder Jessie Arnold is much like famed dog sled racer Susan Butcher and Sue Henry herself. Jessie is in her mid-thirties, tall with short curly blond hair, races in Alaskan dog sled competitions, and raises sled dogs. She is in love with Alaskan State Trooper Alex Jensen but is afraid she will lose her freedom if she marries him. She and Alex solve crimes and murders in eleven mystery novels set in Alaska.
    Jessie Arnold enjoys traveling in her RV, as does her creator Sue Henry. She and Maxie McNab meet in Dead North. Maxie  becomes the protagonist  in another series but they are mentioned off and on in each other's mystery novels.
