Dalziel and Pascoe

   Detective Superintendent Andrew "Andy" Dalziel is a fat, socially-incorrect detective who is mismatched with the polite and professional Peter Pascoe.  In more recent novels, Dalziel has had to confront his bad diet and unhealthy life style. Not so Pascoe who exercises regularly, eats his vegetables and doesn't smoke. They first appeared in A Clubbable Woman in 1970 and has co-starred in an additional eighteen mystery novels.
