Ian Rutledge

Ian Rutledge is a Scotland Yard Inspector in books written by Charles Todd ( pen name of mother Caroline, son Charles). He suffers from shell shock but tries to keep others from knowing this. He solves crimes while fighting off the voice of Hamish McCleod, a soldier he executed for refusing to follow a battlefield order.
