Nora Roberts comes from a family of great
readers, and her writing is an extension of reading. Several of her
manuscripts had been rejected before her first book, Irish Thoroughbred, was published by Silhouette in 1981. Since then she has gone on to write over 150 books under her own name and pseudonym J. D. Robb.
She, her husband, and sons have traveled and lived all over the world.
