David Baldacci
Unsuccessful at writing screen plays and short stories, David Baldacci turned to writing novels. His first novel, Absolute Power, was so successful that it was made into a successful movie starring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman in 1997. He has written other novels since then, but his mystery thrillers have been his best success. Baldacci practiced law for nine years before turning to writing full time. He is the national ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has founded the Wish You Well Foundation for Literacy. He lives with his Vienna, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
