Donna Andrews

  Donna Andrews was born in Yorktown, Virginia, and now lives in Reston. She has two series of mystery novels, both set in Virginia. The Meg Langslow Mysteries find Meg and her fiance Michael involved in murders and mysteries while trying to find the right time to get married. Meg's eccentric family members add to the zaniness of this series. The star of Andrews' other series is Turing Hopper, an Artificial Intelligence Personality  who sleuths in a different genre, computer science. This series is set in a city outside Washington, D.C.
   Andrews is a member of the Chesapeake Chapter of  Sisters in Crime and the Mid-Atlantic Mystery Writers of America, and Webwomen. In April, 2002, Andrews became a registered private investigator. While she has yet to be employed as one, she belongs to the Private Investigators and Security Assn. Although Andrews has traveled to Alaska and has done some spelunking, she spends most of her time in front of her computer, writing, or in her garden.
