Michael Connelly
Michael Connelly's LAPD Detective Harry (Hieronymus) Bosch will make his thirteenth appearance on May 29, 2007, in The Overlook. While working to solve an execution-style murder on the overlook above Mulholland Dam, Harry becomes involved with F.B.I. Agent Rachel Walling and homeland security. Connelly introduced Harry to readers in The Black Echo in 1992. He won the Edgar award that year and became the President of the Mystery Writers of America in 2003 and 2004. Connelly has published a Harry Bosch detective novel every year since 1992. His most recent book, Echo Park, is on the NY Times Best Sellers list. Other best sellers in the Harry Bosch series are: The Black Ice, The Last Coyote, Angels Flight, A Darkness More Than Night, City of Bones, The Narrows, and The Closers. Connelly was working the LA crime beat as a reporter when his first Harry Bosch book was published. It seemed a natural extension at the time to have Harry work for the LAPD. Connelly now lives with his family in Florida where he attended college and worked as a reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
