Mark Richard Zubro
Mark Richard Zubro writes fast-paced mystery novels set in Chicago. He is an Eighth Grade English teacher in Frankfort Square, Illinois, and lives with his partner in Mokena, Illinois. He is the creator of Tom Mason, an amateur detective and high school teacher, who along with his life partner and baseball player Scott Carpenter solves murders and mysteries. Many of the novels have some sort of school connection. He was awarded the Lambda Literary Award for A Simple Suburban Murder in which Tom solves the murder of unpopular math teacher Jim Evans. Gay Chicago Police Detective Paul Turner and his straight partner Buck Fenwick fight crime in a second popular series. His most recent novel, Hook, Line, and Homicide, was published in 2007.
