Dead Ringer
About the Author:

Lisa Scottoline
Lisa Scottoline's 14th
book, Daddy’s Girl, introduces a new
heroine, Natalie Greco. She is somewhat of a misfit law professor who feels she
doesn’t have the respect of the faculty or students, and she is a bookworm in a
family of sports fanatics. Natalie finds herself suspected of murder and
pursued by ruthless killers when she tries to help a dying prison guard. Scottoline’s
work as a clerk for a state appellate judge and practicing lawyer brings
authenticity to her novels, which involves the law in some form or another.
Starting with Everywhere that Mary Went,
she has written nine novels featuring the fictitious all-female Philadelphia law firm of Rosato & Associates: Killer
Smile, Dead Ringer, Courting Trouble, The Vendetta Defense, Moment of Truth,
Mistaken Identity, Rough Justice, and Legal Tender. Scottoline has received an Honorary Doctorate
of Laws from West
Chester University and an Alumni Certificate of Merit from the
University of Pennsylvania Law School. She was awarded an Edgar for Best
Paperback Original, Final Appeal, in
1995. Scottoline’s novels are set in Philadelphia where she was born and continues to live.
